Colchester vs Tottenham: Prediction, tickets, live stream, TV, team news, lineup - Carabao Cup preview

Colchester vs Tottenham
Carabao Cup 2019/20
Venue: Colchester Community Stadium
Date: Tuesday 24 September, 2019
Kick-off time: 7:45pm BST

Tottenham must bounce back from a poor start to the season as they take on League Two outfit Colchester United in the Carabao Cup tonight.

Spurs lead a 1-0 lead slip at Leicester City on Sunday as the Foxes fought back to win 2-0 at the King Power, leaving Mauricio Pochettino's men with eight points from their first six Premier League games.

The pressure is on Pochettino and his squad to prove that last season's Champions League final run was the start of something big and not just a last hurrah for this squad.

Though the Carabao Cup is certainly not a priority for Pochettino, finally winning some silverware could be just the tonic Spurs need to build for the future.

Tottenham team news and lineups

Colchester XI: Gerken, Jackson, Bramall, Lapslie, Prosser, Senior, Comley, Eastman, Stevenson, Gambin, Nouble

Subs: Ross, Sowunmi, Norris, Brown, Cowan-Hall, Clampin, Chilvers

Tottenham XI: Gazzaniga, Walker-Peters, Sanchez, Tanganga, Davies, Dier, Wanyama, Skipp, Dele, Lucas, Parrott

Subs: Lloris, Foyth, Vertonghen, Sissoko, Eriksen, Lamela, Son

Prediction: Colchester 0-2 Tottenham

Even with a much-changed lineup, Spurs should have more than enough to see off a Colchester side who sit 10th in League Two.

Pochettino will be looking to Lucas to lead by example up top, while Parrott will also fancy a goal or two on the road.
