Colby Covington has finally issued a response to Ian Machado Garry’s callout.
It’s been almost a month since Garry (14-0 MMA, 7-0 UFC) took the microphone to request a fight against Covington (17-4 MMA, 12-4 UFC) following his win over Geoff Neal at UFC 298. At first, it was crickets from Covington, but that finally changed on Wednesday when Covington took to X to address Garry’s comments, all while taking jabs at Garry’s personal life.
“Ian Garry, you translucent cuck, you wanted my attention, now you got it,” Covington said in a video. “Everybody knows why you want to fight me, Ian. I’m the biggest star in the division. It’s big city, bright lights, and the most attention and eyes you’re ever gonna have on you when I fight. …
“Everyone knows what’s in it for you, Ian, but what’s in it for me? Why do I have to go down in the rankings and fight some Casper-The-Ghost looking Irish kid who has a gold-digging wife? Let’s come to a compromise. If you can meet these three stipulations, we have a fight.”

Covington, who is coming off a unanimous decision loss to champion Leon Edwards at UFC 296 in December, said three things need to happen in order for him to fight Garry.
These things involve Garry opening up his Instagram comments, having Garry’s wife and manager Layla beg him to fight Garry, and also having her featured in one of his fight prediction videos for his betting sponsorship.
