In form Antonio Colak has joined Rangers teammate Borna Barisic in the provisional Croatia squad for next month's World Cup.
The duo have been among the first names on Gio van Bronckhorst 's teamsheets this season with Colak hitting the ground running following his arrival from PAOK Salonika. 14 goals in 21 appearances have seen him unseat Alfredo Morelos as the No.1 striker and while he's one of the least experienced outfield players in the Croatia squad with just three caps, he now has a real chance of making the final cut for next month's finals.
The same goes for Barisic who has kept his spot at left-back at Ibrox this season despite a dip in form from last year. He's kept new acquisition Ridvan Yilmaz out of the side for the most part and will be hoping to add to his 27 Croatia caps with a second runout at a major tournament after he made the squad for Euro 2020 and picked up one sub appearance against Scotland at Hampden.
The two have made Zlatko Dalic's 34-player group which will be cut to 26 on November 9. And they'll be hoping to catch the eye with impressive performances for Rangers against Ajax and St Johnstone between now and then to avoid being in the unlucky eight cut from the squad.
