In a recent development, the district attorney's office considered providing a letter regarding cooperation to Michael Cohen, pending approval from the US District Court for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) prosecutors. However, prosecutor Susan Hoffinger revealed that the SDNY prosecutors did not agree to this arrangement.

Despite the lack of approval, Cohen, the central figure in this legal saga, expressed his agreement with the decision.
