Tim Hortons is expanding its presence in Wales with a new drive-thru in Swansea . The latest investment by the Canadian-owned coffee and restaurant chain will be its third venue in Wales.
The investment forms part of Tim Hortons' plan to double its estate across the UK by the end of 2023. Located at Swansea's Enterprise Retail Park, in Llansamlet, the new site is set to create up to 50 jobs. The new restaurant will offer dine-in seating for up to 90 customers and outdoor seating for 20 guests, as well as a drive-thru service.
The new venue is scheduled to open later this year.
Kevin Hydes, chief commercial officer of Tim Hortons franchise in the UK, said: “After opening our first restaurant in Wales (in Cardiff) back in 2017, we have experienced a huge demand for Tim Hortons across the country. It’s therefore an exciting time for us to be expanding with this launch in Swansea.
"As an impressive coastal city, it’s a wonderful location for families and tourists, and we hope to make our mark on the area when we officially open later this year. We look forward to engaging with the Swansea community, and we are recruiting for a variety of full and part-time roles in the run up to our opening. We are now accepting applications via our website,."
There are currently 61 Tim Horton restaurants in the UK with a flagship location in Leicester city centre.
