Incoming January arrival Cody Gakpo arrived at Anfield earlier this evening to watch Liverpool's game against Leicester City - with fellow left-sided forward Luis Diaz also in attendance.
The signing of Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven was confirmed by Liverpool on Wednesday, with the 23-year-old putting pen to paper on a five-and-a-half-year deal. The official fee is undisclosed but the ECHO understands Gakpo will cost the Reds around £40m.
Jurgen Klopp had thought to be keen on adding attacking reinforcements, following long-term injury layoffs for both Diogo Jota and Diaz. The Colombian flew out to partake in Liverpool's mid-season trip to Dubai, but suffered a recurrence of the knee injury that saw him sidelined during the 3-2 defeat at Arsenal in October. Upon returning to the UK, he underwent surgery and is expected to be out until March.

Gakpo flew to Merseyside earlier this week to complete his medical, with 'leaked' photos recently showing the forward in Liverpool trianing kit.
And the January signing looks to have extended his stay un the UK in order to take in the famous Anfield atmosphere and watch his new teammates take on Leicester City.
Gakpo will be joined up in the stands by one of his teammates and likely rival for that left-wing position in the future, with Diaz spotted arriving on crutches shortly after.
Monday's 3-1 win at Aston Villa was Liverpool's third consecutive league victory - the first time they have done so this season - and while three more points tonight would not change the table, it will take the Reds to within two points off Tottenham Hotspur in the fourth and final Champions League place.
Gakpo's goals are hoped to continue Liverpool's top-four push through the second half of the season, his three strikes for the Netherlands at the World Cup a continuation of the form that saw him register nine goals and 12 assists in 14 Eredivisie appearances.
The Dutchman is unavailable for obvious reasons tonight - the January window not being open yet - and faces a tough race to be officially signed in time for the trip to Brentford in January 2, given that January 1 is a bank holiday.
A more likely debut could come in the FA Cup third round clash with Wolves on January 7.
