Durden on the fight's key moment
“That was a tough fight, but I knew what I was getting myself into. (He was) a two-time LFA champion – LFA’s a well-respected organization. He was tough everywhere. He’s a (jiu-jitsu) black belt, he’s got four knockouts. The last opponent he fought, he knocked him clean out. But I don’t think he landed a punch on the feet with me.”
Durden on Mota's toughness
“I was in shape. I was ready. I proved anybody, any time, any place. Kleydson Rodrigues pulled out six days ago. They offered me one opponent and that was Carlos Mota, and I said, ‘I do not care.’ I messaged Dana White and said, ‘Dude, it doesn’t matter who you put in there. We’re fighting.’ This is how I provide for my family. This is all I do. I don’t have a Plan B. It’s Plan A.”
Durden on what he wants next
“I’ll fight anyone, but I think we’ve got some unfinished business with Kleydson. He pulled out six days ago – no explanation. (He) just went MIA. All I heard was he was injured. That’s it. … Let’s get that rescheduled. It’s only right.”
