A man was charged with the supply of cocaine after an uninsured vehicle was stopped by police.
At around 2pm on Monday 12 December, officers stopped a black Vauxhall Astra on Benthams Way in Southport. Inside the car, they saw a large pot that contained wraps of suspected cocaine.
Two men inside the vehicle were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled Class A drug. A further search of a home linked to one of the men saw officers recover further wraps of suspected cocaine.

Anthony Holmes, 39, of Hall Street, Southport, was charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled Class A drug. He appeared at Wirral Magistrates Court on Tuesday and was remanded in custody to appear at Crown Court.
A 39-year-old from Southport was also arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled Class A drug and released under investigation. The arrests were made by the Southport Local Policing and Targeted Team.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "At around 2pm on Monday 12 December, officers stopped a black Vauxhall Astra on Benthams Way because the vehicle was uninsured. Officers saw a large pot inside the car that contained wraps of suspected cocaine and the two men inside the vehicle were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled Class A drug.
"A further search of a home linked to one of the men saw officers recover further wraps of suspected cocaine. Anthony Holmes, 39, of Hall Street, Southport, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled Class A drug
