A man has been arrested by cops after a whopping drugs haul worth an estimated £300,000 was seized in Edinburgh.
Officers uncovered the huge stash at a property on Caledonian Crescent in Haymarket on November 10 and confiscated cocaine, heroin and cash. According to Edinburgh Live, following a subsequent probe a 47 year-old man was then arrested on Wednesday, November 16 and will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at some point today.
The massive haul included, diamorphine (heroin) worth an estimated £198,000, cocaine valued at £31,800 and £67,000 in cash.
Cops say a report will now be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective Inspector Gary Reid, Specialist Crime Division said: “We work every day to disrupt those involved in drugs supply and involved in serious and organised crime as they have no place in our communities."
He added: “Anyone with information regarding drugs in their local area should contact their local police office through 101.
"Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
