Holidays will not be coming to Liverpool as the iconic UK Coca-Cola truck tour for 2020 has been cancelled.
The huge event is the latest casualty of the coronavirus pandemic with the soft drinks company announcing that for the first time since 2010, the bright red trucks will no be touring the UK this year.
Every year the 'Holidays are Coming' adverts grace our TV screens and put us in the festive mood with crowds of people flocking to the city centre to have their pictures taken with the iconic Coca-Cola trucks every Christmas.

However, the last time the truck was in Liverpool was in 2017, when it arrived on Paradise Street in Liverpool ONE and previously rolled into Williamson Square. But for the last two years, the city was missed out from the tour.
Now the Coca-Cola trucks, which usually visit more than 40 locations across the UK from the end of November, will not be doing their annual tour.

A spokeswoman for the company said: "In light of further Covid-19 restrictions announced around the country and in line with Government guidelines, unfortunately, we can't go ahead with our annual Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour this year.
"We know this will be disappointing for many people, but our priority is the safety of our consumers and employees.
"We really look forward to welcoming people back next year when the Truck Tour returns."
