Coca-Cola teases return of Christmas Truck Tour for 2022 as fans eager to see red lorry

You know it's nearly Christmas when the Coca-Cola truck rocks up at towns and cities across the country. And the iconic brand is already teasing the red truck's return for 2022.

The Christmas Truck Tour returned to the streets once again in 2021 - after the 2020 tour was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Last year the only West Midlands area the tour visited was Wolverhampton.

But so far this year, no tour stops have been announced for 2022.

But Coca-Cola has teased the tour's return with a reply on Twitter.

Anthony Murray tweeted Coca-Cola's UK account, said: "Is the holiday truck, coming this year?"

And in response Coca-Cola, with a winking emoji, said: "Christmas is coming but is the truck tour? You will have to watch this space."

It hasn't stopped the excitement of those hoping to catch a glimpse of the iconic red truck. It is so popular, there is even a dedicated Facebook page to track its whereabouts and share the latest news.

'Christmas 2022 Coca Cola Truck Tour' has 12.8k people following it.

The 14-tonne lorry is decorated with fairy lights and fans are normally able to enjoy a can of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Diet Coke or Coca-Cola Classic in a 'winter wonderland' setting.

Coca Cola is renowned for its iconic soft drinks, from its original flavour cans and bottles, to Diet variations, and flavoured combos, like Cherry, Vanilla and more.

It also features on the increasingly-popular Christmas Coca-Cola advert, which has also yet to be broadcast on television.

The Coca-Cola truck has toured dozens of towns, cities and shopping centres over the years.

In 2017 it visited a total of 42 locations across the UK. Back in November and December 2019, it stopped off at 19 locations - starting at Edinburgh and ending in London. It was the truck's ninth tour of the country.

In 2022, it failed to turn up to Wolverhampton due to a "last minute technical hitch".

But after fans were left devastated the brand decided to make an "extra special stop" in the city just days before Christmas.
