Workers from a much-loved Coatbridge confectionery company enjoyed a successful family event last Saturday.
The event, which took place at Less of Scotland's North Caldeen Road factory, featured a host of activities for families and children to enjoy. These included a DJ, bouncy slide, face painting, a snowball hunt, factory tours, ice cream van, soak the manager game - which proved popular - and much more.
Hundreds of enthusiastic visitors took part in the popular activities and the day raised an impressive £1122 in aid of St Andrew’s Hospice. This will be donated to help the work of the specialist palliative care centre.
Louise Dunion, HR administrator at Lees, told Lanarkshire Live: “It was a very successful day considering that there was a lot of stress beforehand.
“We have had a lot of positive feedback from the staff and everyone who attended enjoyed it.
“It was a fun day to give the staff a wee bit of fun for their families and all the events were free for the kids.
“We were selling raffle tickets and anything that was raised on the day was going to the hospice.
“I helped to organise the event, but there were also a lot of members of staff who were involved in the organisation of it.
“And St Andrew’s Hospice gave us balloons and gifts for the kids and we were delighted to raise as much money as we did.”
