BEACHWATCH
A SOUTH swell, swinging south east to east at one metre. Wind is east tending north easterly. There's onshore winds over the weekend along with two metre mid morning high tides. The surf's small and choppy with just a few peaky shore breaks on offer. Try Newcastle Beach and Pogos. Try Redhead, Frenchmans and North Catho to the south and Birubi and Treachery to the north. There's a few bluebottles and mutton birds getting washed in. The water is 20 degrees.
