Police and coastguard crews searched a coastal village for a woman who has been missing for five weeks after she was seen getting out of a taxi in the area.
Susan Forde, from the Republic of Ireland, made her way to Scotland last month, visiting Edinburgh before journeying to the Isle of Lewis.
The 56-year-old's welfare checked out of the Caladh Inn Hotel in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis at around 5.10pm on Sunday, October 16.
She then travelled in a taxi to the Borve Country House Hotel, around 15 miles north of Stornoway, where she was dropped off in the car park.
Susan did not enter the hotel and she has not been seen since arriving in the carpark.
There have been no further sightings of Susan since, leaving her family 'understandably worried'.
Coastguard and lifeboat crews were called in to help police officers search the surrounding areas of where Susan was last seen.
The teams spent two days searching villages, moorland and the coast around Borve.
Stornoway RNLI also conducted a thorough search of the Stornoway coastal areas.
The search was suspended on Sunday, November 13, to allow police to investigate further.
Stornoway Coastguard Rescue Team posted about their involvement in the search on Facebook. They wrote: "At this point, Susan remains missing and our search is suspended pending further investigation and review by Police Scotland.
"Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this difficult time.
"We would like to thank the community of Borve for their assistance and both Borve House Hotel and the Clan MacQuarrie Community centre for accommodating our control points."
Susan was wearing an orange top, a dark-coloured jacket with white lining, blue trousers or jeans, walking boots and a cream/grey coloured tammy hat when she vanished. She was also wearing spectacles and carrying a backpack.
Police say their searches are continuing and urge anyone with any information to come forward.
A Police Scotland s pokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing to trace Susan Forde. Searches will continue and anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1262 of 2 November, 2022.”
