Melbourne United have locked-in Dean Vickerman for a further four years, with the coach signing on until the end of the 2028 NBL season.

Leading United to two NBL titles and five post-season appearances in his first six campaigns with the club, Vickerman said it was an easy decision to stay on.

"It's amazing - as a professional coach, it doesn't come around that often to be locked into a great club that you've been a part of for six years already," he said in a statement.

"Melbourne United is always where I wanted my basketball journey to end up."

Vickerman's win record stands at 182, including 130 with United, and his 62.3 percentage is the highest win rate of any coach to have overseen as many games as him, other than Boomers mentor Brian Goorjian.

Ahead of the 2024 season United have recruited Luke Travers, Jo Lual-Acuil Jr, Tanner Krebs and Flynn Cameron to play alongside veterans Chris Goulding and Shea Ili.
