A Co Tyrone man has been prosecuted for a second time after he allowed his two dogs to attack another dog.
James Donnelly from Beragh pleaded guilty and was fined after Omagh Magistrates Court found he had allowed his two Akita dogs to attack a Shih Tzu and six sheep.
Both the Shih Tzu and the sheep suffered significant injuries as a result of the attack and Mr Donnelly was ordered to pay £300 fines in respect of four separate offences, as well as legal costs and vet fees for the injured animal.

The Co Tyrone man had previously been convicted for allowing his dogs to attack a person in March 2021, where he was also fined as a result.
The latest offence as investigated by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s dog control team, with the council bringing action against Mr Donnelly.
Commenting on the case, a spokesperson for the council said it gives ‘high priority’ to the investigation of such incidents.
“Fermanagh and Omagh District Council gives a high priority to the investigation of Offences under Dog Control Legislation,” a council spokesperson said.
“Complaints are investigated thoroughly and where necessary formal action is taken, which may include prosecution for offences as in this case.”
