Co op urgently recall fish products that 'may contain metal pieces'

Co-op is urgently recalling popular fish products due to the fact that they "may contain pieces of metal".

The supermarket has recalled certain batches of its Co-op Tuna Chunks in Sunflower Oil and Co-op Tuna Chunks in Springwater.

The possible presence of metal makes the products "unsafe to eat", and so customers have been urged to return them for a full refund.

Point of sale notices will be displayed in all stores that sell the products, which will explain to customers why they are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought them.

Additionally, those with any questions can contact the Co-op Customer Careline on 0800 068 6727/
