Co-op gives classic dishes exciting vegan makeover for Veganuary

Veganuary can seem a little daunting to those trying it for the first time. As the idea of going vegan for an entire month looms ahead, meat lovers in particular might find it difficult to curb their meat cravings.

Meat alternatives are enjoying a boom at the moment in restaurants and supermarkets alike. Co-op is the latest store to expand its vegan offerings by adding eight new items to its award-winning plant-based range, GRO.

This move by Co-op means shoppers will have even more options this Veganuary to help them enjoy the experience and perhaps extend eating vegan food after January. They will also not be out of pocket thanks to Co-op price-matching its GRO range to meat and dairy equivalents.

This industry-first move announced last summer is a bid by Co-op to end price disparity of vegan food whilst encouraging more shoppers to add plant-based meals to their diets.

Here are the eight new vegan products launched by Co-op that will make your Veganuary even more enjoyable.

Cameron Rigg, product developer at Co-op, said: “The Fishless Fillet and Chips mimics a real fish and chip experience and it’s a great way for shoppers to try more plant-based food.
