Co Antrim crash sees woman in her 20s taken to hospital

A young woman was taken from the scene of a crash in Co Antrim to hospital on Sunday evening.

Police say they received a report of a single road traffic collision at Station Road in Doagh, shortly after 8pm yesterday evening, Sunday February 27.

Officers attended the scene alongside the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and NI Fire and Rescue Service.

A PSNI spokesperson told Belfast Live: "One female in her 20s was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries not believed to be serious at this time.

"The road was closed for a period with diversions in place, and was opened a short time later."

In other news, police are appealing for information following a one-vehicle road traffic collision in the Forkhill Road area of Mullaghbawn in the early hours of Sunday.

Shortly after 1am, officers along with colleagues from the NIAS attended the scene of the collision, which involved a red coloured Volkwagon Golf.

A 18-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries, where he remains in a critical condition at this time.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have dash-cam footage that could help with enquiries, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 127 of 27/02/22.
