CNN has come under fire from monarchists on Saturday after referring to Prince Harry and Meghan by name to then refer to Prince of Wales William and Princess of Wales Kate Middleton as 'the other two royals' seconds later.
Scott McLean, CNN's international correspondent based in London, made the comment while reporting on the Prince and Princess of Wales' and Duke and Duchess of Sussex's surprise joint walk in Windsor on Saturday, two days after Queen Elizabeth passed away at the age of 96.
The Canadian reporter described the brothers and their wives getting out of a car in a controversial moment, saying: "You can see Harry get out first and then you saw Meghan and then the other two royals as well."
The Daily Mail reported that King Charles III ordered his feuding sons to put aside their ongoing quarrel ahead of Queen Elizabeth II's funeral, this led to the pair publicly reuniting for the first time in over a year.
Viewers were left outraged by the CNN coverage, with them interpreting the comment as an American network showing disrespect towards the royal family.

One viewer chastised CNN, saying: "The other two royals, being the heir to the throne and his wife the Princess of Wales, who will be Queen."
A second penned: "I have news for the CNN reporter [Harry] & [Meghan] are 'not' working Royals!! 'The other 2' are the future King & Queen of Britain Perhaps he could show some respect!!"
A third wrote: "Excuse me the other two royals will be the next king and queen."
Not all of the reactions to the viral CNN clip were negative, with some viewers claiming that the channel was their favourite or that it had made them laugh.
One viewer quote tweeted the video, saying: "This is why CNN is my favourite news channel."
A second wrote: "Americans are funny [laughing emoji] Love it".
"American media are so unserious,' a third commented. "He wasn't even trying to be petty. As far as he's concerned, he's done nothing wrong."
A fourth suggested that he should receive a raise for his reporting.
Royal sources say that Prince William has attempted to bury the hatchet with his younger brother Prince Harry by extending an '11th-hour olive branch' by asking him to join him on a walkabout outside Windsor Castle.
This came after a reported phone call with his father Charles where the new King allegedly ordered his son to but the feud aside following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
It is believed that this appearance is the first time the two couples have been seen together in public since Commonwealth Day on March 9, 2020.
