Charlie Munger has made quite a few headlines this week during the Daily Journal's annual shareholder meeting, especially due to his comments on bitcoin.
But when you have spicy takes that aren't completely rooted in reality, there is bound to be backlash.

Munger got a dose of that backlash from CNBC Thursday.
Joe Kernen called Munger's take on bitcoin "pedestrian" and critiqued his knowledge of bitcoin in response to Munger's rant on the subject.
The day before, Munger told Kernan's co-host Becky Quick that investing in cryptocurrency was "just ridiculous" and said that it was "massively stupid" to trust in bitcoin.
"The people who invented this 'crypto crappo', which is my name for it -- sometimes I call it crypto crappo and sometimes I call it ... well, crypto sh*t. And it's just ridiculous that anybody would buy this stuff," he said.
Charlie's Track Record
Yes, Charlie Munger has been around for a while.
The nonagenarian turned 99 a few weeks ago.
But that doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't understand what bitcoin is and what it could bring to the table as the bedrock of decentralized finance.
But he has called bitcoin "evil" and has predicted that it will inevitably go to zero.
