Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Friday visited Kolathur Assembly constituency and laid the foundation stone for various projects. He reviewed the construction of the stormwater drains.
Mr. Stalin, who represents Kolathur, laid the foundation stone for the construction of a badminton court in Thiru. Vi. Ka. Nagar Zone to be constructed at a cost of ₹53 lakh under the Singara Chennai 2.0 scheme. The Chief Minister launched the work on setting up a facility to drain rainwater to avoid stagnation in Venus Nagar, Selvi Nagar and Temple School areas in Kolathur. The project is to be implemented at a cost of ₹2.80 crore.
He inaugurated the additional buildings for the primary health centre built at a cost of ₹ 55.91 lakh, an official release said.
He reviewed the construction of stormwater drains on S.R.P. Koil Street at a cost of ₹2.20 crore and distributed welfare assistance to beneficiaries, it said.
Ministers Ma. Subramanian, P.K. Sekarbabu, Mayor R. Priya, North Chennai MP Kalanidhi Veeraswamy, Deputy Mayor M. Magesh Kumar, were present.
