UPDATE: The road has now reopened - police are still dealing with a broken-down car at the Glasgow Harbour

The Clydeside Expressway has been partially closed due to a multi-vehicle crash.

The A814 road is closed eastbound near Finnieston following the incident just before 7am this morning.

Traffic Scotland has confirmed that emergency services are on the scene opposite the SEC with traffic queuing from SEC back to Sawmill Road roundabout.

Drivers should expect delays if travelling on the route as traffic is already beginning to build.

Other incidents have already been reported on the roads this morning following extreme weather overnight.

Traffic Control and Management have urged road users to consider alternative routes and to avoid the area.

They said: "The A814(Eastbound) is only open to one lane between Hayburn Street offslip and Finniston Street onramp due to a multiple car accident opposite the SEC complex.

"Road users should consider alternate routes and avoid the area if possible."

Update: Lane 2 remains closed eastbound - Lane 1 is also now blocked near Baird Street due to another crash

Lane 1 closed at Hayburn Street interchange opposite the offslip
