No members of staff were injured as a result of the robbery but were left 'frightened'.

Police are now appealing for information on anyone who might have seen the suspect who is described as 40-years-old, approximately 5ft 9in tall and of medium build, and speaking with a local Glasgow accent.

He was wearing a black tracksuit, dark New York Yankees baseball cap and a multi-coloured ski mask.

Detective Constable Catriona MacQueen of Clydebank Police Station said: “Nobody was injured during this incident but it was a frightening experience for the staff members involved.

“We are working to identify the man involved and would urge anyone who has any information or who believes they may have seen him to let us know.

“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 0920 of 1 October, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
