Clyde boss expects quiet deadline day after "exhausting his budget"

Clyde boss Danny Lennon says he has "exhausted his budget" and doesn't expect to make any deadline day signings.

The Bully Wee have been very busy in the summer window already, bringing in 15 fresh faces on permanent deals, and it appears no further recruits will be coming through the door today for the New Douglas Park side.

So far Ray Grant and Kurtis Roberts joined from Stirling Albion, Gretna 2008 trio Nathan Nyamsi Jendji, Euan Cameron and Olly McDonald also joined alongside Jordan Allan from Airdrieonians and Peter Grant from Queen's Park.

Ross Lyon joined from Stenhousemuir, Conner Duthie from Dumbarton, Liam Scullion from Fauldhouse, Cammy Ross from Whitletts Victoria, Erik Sula from Michalovce and ex-Hibs star Steven Thicot, while new club captain Brian McLean arrived from Morton.

Asked if he any business today, Lennon told Lanarkshire Live Sport: "We are happy where we are at the moment.

"To be honest, our budget is exhausted so anything that would happen would be down the development route or down the loan route.

"We still have until the end of this month for loans.

"There's nothing happening at the moment."

Clyde have enjoyed a decent start to their League One campaign, winning two, losing two and drawing one in their opening five games.

They sit sixth in the table and fourth points off leaders and Lanarkshire rivals Airdrieonians.
