Sevilla have released a statement over the imminent transfer of Loic Bade, who had his loan stint at Nottingham Forest cut short.
The 22-year-old struggled to cement a place in Steve Cooper's side after arriving on loan from Rennes. His spell at the City Ground came to an end after failing to make an appearance.
Having completed a medical earlier this week, Sevilla hold the option to make his transfer permanent in the summer. In a statement released by the club, it read: "Sevilla FC and Stade Rennais FC have reached a principle of agreement for the loan until the end of the season with the option of purchase of 22-year-old central defender Loïc Badé, born in Sèvres, France on April 11, 2000.

"If the transfer is completed, which is at the expense of the processing of the relevant documentation and it must be done at the beginning of next week, it would be the first Sevilla reinforcement in this winter market. Badé is right-handed and measures 191 centimetres, so he stands out for its aerial play and also for its good long displacement.
"Badé who took his first steps as a professional in Ligue 2 of France in Le Havre, debuted in Ligue 1 at just 19 years old, in the ranks of RC Lens, where he played 31 matches in the regular French championship, as well as two of the Coupe de France. His performance caught the attention of the Stade Rennais, who signed him ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
"In Rennes he played 22 matches, 14 in Ligue 1, two in the Coupe de France and five in the UEFA Conference League, and had his first European experience, scoring a goal and providing two assists.
"This season,he was loaned out to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. Badé also has three matches as a French U21 international, valid for the qualification for the European Championship of the category."
