Rafael Leao is “comfortable and motivated” at AC Milan despite rumoured interest from Chelsea, according to the Italian club’s president.
Paolo Scaroni has given his insight on ongoing contract talks between the Rossoneri and Portuguese forward Leao, whose deal expires in 18 months.
Chelsea are one of several teams linked to the player and reports in Italy suggest Milan have upped their offer to persuade him to stay.
According to SportMediaset, via TMW, they are ready to pay Leao £115,000-a-week as talks are ongoing between Milan representatives Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara with the winger’s camp in Dubai.
And Scaroni has described his confidence that Milan will get the deal over the line.
“They tell me that in Milan he is very comfortable, that he is motivated,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I know that Maldini is negotiating with him and as far as I just said: if he negotiates, I’m calm.”
