Club Brugge vs Juventus Preview, Prediction, Team News & Lineups

Ahead of Club Brugge vs Juventus in the Champions League, we have curated a preview, prediction, the latest team news and predicted lineups.

Club Brugge vs Juventus Preview

Club Brugge are on a superb run of form, as the Belgian side are unbeaten from their last 18 matches across all competitions – including three Champions League clashes.

Nicky Hayen’s side beat Sporting Lisbon 2-1 in their last European encounter, were held to a 1-1 draw by Celtic in the one prior and beat Aston Villa 1-0 during the unbeaten streak.

They have also won their last five matches in Belgium and are coming off a 4-2 win over Beerschot VA to move within one point of table-topping Genk.

As for Juventus, they are also on an impressive run in the Serie A and are yet to lose in Italy’s top-flight but have drawn 13 out of the 21 matches.

In fact their only defeats of the season came in the Italian Super Cup against AC Milan and in a 1-0 defeat to Stuttgart in Matchday three of the Champions League.

However, Thiago Motta’s side found revenge against AC Milan in their latest match, as Juventus won 2-0 at home thanks to goals from Samuel Mbangula and Timothy Weah.

Club Brugge vs Juventus Team News

Club Brugge will be without Zaid Romero through injury, while Andreas Skov Olsen, Philip Zinckernagel, Dedryck Boyata and Kamal Sowah have all left the club.

Joquin Seys returned from a hamstring injury in Club Brugge’s latest league fixture and could compete for a start ion the left-hand side.

As for Juventus, the Italian were dealt a major injury blow in their last fixture as Kenan Yildiz was forced off at half time and could join Arkadiusz Milik, Juan Cabal and Bremer on the sidelines.

Francisco Coneceicao could return after missing the last four matches and Dusan Vlahovic may start after coming off the bench against AC Milan.

Club Brugge vs Juventus Predicted Lineups

Club Brugge: Mignolet; Sabbe, Ordonez, Mechele, De Cuyper; Onyedika, Jashari; Vetlesen, Vanaken, Skoras; Jutgla

Juventus: Di Gregorio; McKennie, Kalulu, Gatti, Cambiaso; Locatelli, Thuram; Gonzalez, Koopmeiners, Mbangula; Vlahovic

Club Brugge vs Juventus Prediction

Both of these sides could drop out of the qualification places if they do not pick up a win from their final two group stage matches.

With that in mind, we expect a cagey affair in Belgium but Juventus’ superior quality should earn the Italian side a narrow victory – especially as the Italian side are heavy favourites on UK betting sites.

Prediction: Club Brugge 1-2 Juventus
