Just like those from the '90s, a variety of trends from the '00s have made a comeback in recent years.
Through social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, the teens and young adults of today are engaging in the fashion and beauty looks loved by people their age twenty-odd years ago. Though we hope some features of the era stay firmly in the past (cough cough, overplucked brows), it's fun to see a fresh take on previous styles.

On top of the revival of frosted eyeshadow and butterfly clips, last year saw the resurgence of music styles from that era with the success of Olivia Rodrigo's heavily 2000s-influenced album, Sour .
Filled with breakup anthems and pop-rock angst, the record had everyone revisiting the songs they'd scream along to during the decade.
Dance music had a particularly strong hold during that time - not only on dancefloors, but in the charts and on the radio.
Once primarily reserved for nightclubs, dance tracks made their way into mainstream pop and radio airplay in the 2000s.
Generally clean lyrics that focused on love, heartbreak or having fun meant the playlists at kids' birthday parties weren't all that different to those heard in clubs across the nation.
Between Cascada, David Guetta, Calvin Harris and more, the decade gave rise to a number of icons who had us dying for them to release the next 'absolute choooon'.
The decade was also the final era of nights-out where you didn't have to worry about being secretly filmed for someone's Story or viral Tweet. Any unflattering photos were taken via disposable or digital cameras and could be banished forever after pleading with your pal.
