Club bangers every millennial will remember from the 2000s

As music fans will know, Woodvale Festival is upon us once more.

Tonight will see ravers across Belfast come to Woodvale in their droves to see Cascada headline the festival's Clubland Live event. With the German group having dominated the dance charts throughout the 2000s, it's sure to be a night full of nostalgia for millennial club-goers.

The group, founded in 2004 by singer Natalie Horler and producers DJ Manian and DJ Yanou, skyrocketed to fame with the success of their 2005 single, 'Everytime We Touch'. Like many of Cascada's songs, it offered a Eurodance interpolation of another artist's song by the same name.

With hits like 'What Hurts the Most' and 'Evacuate the Dancefloor', the trio's music was a staple of clubbing throughout the noughties and we're sure tonight will be the perfect call-back to that era.

Ahead of the gig, we decided to take a look back at the other club bangers released in the same decade. From pure cheese to out-right bops to nonsensical whistles and animated frogs, these are the songs that dominated millennial dancing days.

Step back in time with us as we revisit the tunes that were essential to nights out across Ireland and the UK.

Let us know in the comments which ones used to make you bolt from the smoking area to the dancefloor the minute you heard the first notes.
