Four in hospital and 22 evacuated from tenement building after fire

FOUR people have been taken to hospital and 22 evacuated from a tenement building in Uddingston after a fire.

The road is currently closed and a cordon is in place while crews put out the fire.

Footage shared with the Glasgow Times showed smoke coming out of the window of the top-floor flat on Deanbrae Street on Wednesday.

Fire crews can be seen at the scene running in and out of the building, and more smoke billows out from the roof.
