Clothing has been found at the top of a Scots cliff with police launching an investigation into the find.
Officers were called to Trinkie at South Head, Wick, at around 5.30pm on Sunday April 2 following reports a pair of white trainers and black jogging trousers were found.
Police assisted by HM Coastguard and the RNLI searched the area but found no sign of anyone in the area. Authorities are keen to trace the owner of the clothing to confirm their welfare.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "An extensive search of the area was carried out by police officers, assisted by HM Coastguard and the RNLI, with no sign of anyone being in the area.
"The owner of the clothing is still unknown and officers are keen to identify the owner of the clothes so their welfare can be confirmed.
"If anyone has any information on who this clothing may belong to, or if they have concerns about a person they have not been able to contact, please contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 2681 of 2 April 2023."
