Closing down signs have been placed outside a popular outdoor clothing and equipment store in Nottingham city centre. The signs in the windows of Blacks, in Exchange Walk, Nottingham, also states all products are being sold at a 30% discount and that 'all stock must go'
The store is well known for selling a range of outdoor clothing, as well as a range of equipment and accessories for orienteering and camping.
The store also sold its own Duke of Edinburgh kit for teenagers taking part in the award. Blacks is a British retailer, which also owns Millets and Ultimate Outdoors. Since 2012, when the company entered administration, it has been owned by JD Sports Fashion plc.
Similar signs appeared in the Nottingham store in August 2020, which advertised a closing down sale after an agreement could not be met with landlords. However, the store continued in the location for a further two years.
The company was contacted for comment.
