Clock up your steps at The Centre Livingston this month for the chance to win a £50 gift card

The Centre, Livingston is giving visitors who are on a mission to get fit this month the chance to take part in a ’Clock Your Steps Challenge’ when shopping in the mall.

With over 150 shops and places to eat, including M&S, Superdry and New Look, all on one level, spanning 1m sq ft and covering a radius of two miles it’s not unusual for the security, cleaning and management team at the mall to clock up around 1,600 miles a month.

As part of the mall’s ‘Clock Your Steps Challenge’ to help get even fitter the team are planning to increase their target every month and reach over 25,000 miles collectively covered by the end of the year.

Visitors can join in the challenge when they are shopping in the mall by clocking their steps or miles on their phones or pedometers and registering it at the Customer Service Desk.

Every day until the end of the month The Centre, Livingston will be rewarding a shopper with a £50 Gift Card in recognition of their efforts.

Mark Fallon, Services Manager at The Centre, Livingston: “It’s great to be able to keep fit whilst working in the shopping centre – quite often we can walk up to four miles a day.

“We’ve set ourselves a challenge and are hoping to increase it a little bit every month and reach over 25,000 miles by the end of the year.”

Ashley Bisland, Deputy Centre Director at The Centre, Livingston, said: “Our team are on a mission to increase their steps count and miles covered throughout the year as part of our ‘Clock Your Steps Challenge’ and have got off to a great start this month.

“Visitors can take part when shopping in the mall by picking up a registration form at the Customer Service Desk and clocking their steps or miles and in recognition of their efforts we are giving away a £50 Gift Card every day until the end of January to spend in the mall.”
