Clippers’ Russell Westbrook Quips at Reporters After Yet Another James Harden Question

James Harden has yet to play a game for the Clippers after being traded from the 76ers earlier this week, but his teammate Russell Westbrook is already sick of answering questions about star guard.

On the heels of the Clippers’ 130–125 overtime loss to the Lakers on Wednesday night, Westbrook was repeatedly asked about how Harden would fit in with the team on the court. Eventually, Westbrook had enough.

“It’s going to be a process,” Westbrook said when asked about getting Harden into the mix.

When asked again how the roster will play together with Harden’s addition, Westbrook chuckled as he fired back.

“Give it a break, y’all. It’ll be a process. I don’t have the answer I don’t know. I don’t predict the future,” Westbrook said. “It’s not just gonna come together, mesh and we’re going to be perfectly fine. That’s unrealistic expectations for everybody. The expectation, like I said, is that it’s going to be a process. I don’t have the answer. I don’t know what that is.”

Westbrook has a good personal relationship with Harden, which was apparent with his reaction to Harden’s arrival in Los Angeles earlier this week. The two stars have played together previously in Oklahoma City and in Houston, so expect them to play off each other once again on the court along with fellow stars Paul George and Kawhi Leonard.

The Clippers are off to a 3–2 start on the season following Wednesday night’s loss to the Lakers.
