A climber has been airlifted to hospital with a suspected spinal injury after falling 65ft during a climb up Snowdonia.
Emergency services were made aware of reports of the man tumbling on Craig Yr Ysfa Amphitheatre Buttress at around 12pm on Tueday, suffering severe injuries to his back, pelvis, and leg. A coastguard helicopter with the Ogwen Valley Mountain Resue Organisation rushed to the scene after the climber made a call to 999.
He proceeded to be airlifted to Ysbyty Gwynedd for treatment. Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation said: "The team were called out at 12pm for a fallen climber with a suspected fractured spine. The solo climber had started up Amphitheatre Buttress but came off soon after setting off, North Wales Live reports.

"He fell 10m then tumbled a further 10 seriously injuring his back, pelvis and leg. He managed to call 999 and the team leaders requested help from the Caernarfon based rescue helicopter.
"A team leader living nearby walked in to make contact while three team members were lifted from base by the coastguard. Two more team members with stretcher and rope rescue equipment walked in from Trawsbyll car park before being picked up by the helicopter at Eigiau dam.
"Two team casualty carers assisted the winchman to stabilise and treat the casualty before he was placed in a stretcher. Terrain prevented winching from the point of injury so he was lowered 25m further out of the gully to a better position.
"After five hours on task the helicopter required fuel so headed to Caernarfon for refuelling. On its return it lifted the climber to Ysbyty Gwynedd for treatment and the ground troops walked back down to Trawsbyll car park."
