Cleveland Browns LB Jordan Hicks suffers a concussion; ruled out of Dolphins game

Cleveland Browns linebacker Jordan Hicks was ruled out of the game against the Miami Dolphins with a concussion.

The middle linebacker suffered the concussion at the start of the third quarter. The independent neurologist flagged Hicks for a concussion evaluation after the linebacker made a tackle. Hicks finished the game with seven tackles.

The Browns have replaced Hicks with a combination of Devin Bush, Mohamoud Diabate, and safety Ronnie Hickman Jr. The linebacker is the brains of the defense and wears the green dot. Hicks wears a lot of caps on the defense, and he’s hard to replace.

Bush and Diabate have played very well this year under the mentorship of Hicks. Both linebackers are playing fast and with conviction. The Browns are nearing the end of their season and they’re evaluating their roster for the 2025 season. The trio replacing Hicks have a new opportunity to impress the front office for next season.
