Clement confirms 'several' Rangers transfer options as clubs sees 'what is possible'

Philippe Clement has confirmed he has identified "several" players he believes can help Rangers in the January transfer window.

The Ibrox boss has drawn up a list of potential targets for this month as he seeks reinforcements.

However, the Belgian boss has admitted it is now down to the club to discover "what is possible".

It comes after Patrick Stewart suggested it would more likely be "one maybe two" than "three or four" new signings this month.

The new Ibrox CEO was clear in his statement that no "quick fix" would be sought at the detriment of finances as he laid of plans for long-term signings.

“Just to be clear I've not said that we're not doing business but we'll only do business that's right for the long-term benefit of the club," said Stewart.

"A quick fix I just don't believe is the responsible thing for us to be doing as an executive team and for me to be doing as a CEO.

"The question of whether or not we do business is about both looking at the short-term impact but it's also going to have a long-term benefit as well.”

Quizzed on transfer dealings ahead of the match against St Johnstone, Clement said: "We talked about transfers in the club. Patrick addressed that outside.

"I have looked at several players that I think can help the club, now it's about the club seeing what is possible.

"Patrick addressed that, that clearness is for everybody."
