Cleaning fan shares hack for keeping home smelling fresh and germ-free

Giving your home a good clean isn't always just about removing dirt and mess - often, you want it to smell fabulous as well. While you might find that your home smells great just after scrubbing it from top to bottom, the scent of the products often fades fast.

Thankfully, one woman has come up with a solution that keeps your house sparking and bacteria-free, as well as smelling fresh. TikTokker CleanwithCourteney shared the simple hack with her 300,000 followers on social media.

The mum-of-two often posts helpful cleaning tips and tricks, and her videos have racked up an impressive 1.3 million likes. For this particular hack, all you need is some all-purpose floor cleaner, and a couple of duster cloths.

Starting off the video, Courteney explained: "One of the ways I keep my home smelling amazing is by using my favourite scented cleaner, a duster and warm water."

She fills up the kitchen sink with a capful of the floor cleaner along with the water before soaking the duster cloth in it. Courteney continued: "Just go over any radiators, doors, door handles, radiator covers.

"Not only does this smell amazing, but it helps to keep the germs away for the little ones - especially in the coming winter months", she added, as she wiped clean all the surfaces she mentioned.

Most antibacterial floor cleaners, such as Flash, can kill up to 99.9% of viruses and bacteria - making it great to use on surfaces that see a lot of hands. And with some tempting scents such as apple blossom, you're bound to find something to suit your home.

In the video's comments, people were quick to praise Courteney for her advice.

"I can smell this through the phone!" someone swooned, in relation to the orange and cinnamon cleaner Courteney had used. Another suggested using antibacterial cleanser Zoflora as well, which also comes in a variety of scents.
