Cleaning expert says home has 'never felt so clean and fresh' after using 99p Aldi product

Aldi shoppers have praised a product that can be found in the cleaning aisle for less than £1 and can be put to use to get multiple areas of the home "fresh and sparkling".

The supermarket's Powerforce range, which includes surface cleaner, polish and wipes, has earned rave reviews from customers, with one member of the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook group saying: "They're really good on furniture and the wipes smell amazing, they're the best ones I've used." But one item in particular, the Powerforce 4 in 1 Action Concentrated Disinfectant, has gone viral on social media for its cleaning abilities.

The disinfectant, which kills 99.9% of viruses and bacteria, is available in different scents including Linen, Grapefruit and Lavender, and is priced at 99p for a 250ml bottle on the Aldi website. One bottle makes 13 litres of disinfectant, and can be used to clean floors, worktops, tiles, sinks, toilets, bins, baths, taps, drains and more.

The disinfectant should be diluted one-part cleaner to 40-parts water, and one capful will make a 520ml cleaning solution - Aldi also recommends diluting it and using it in a spray bottle for easy cleaning around the home. It should only be used undiluted on ceramic and metal sinks, drains and toilet bowls, and it's not recommended for use in food contact areas as it is highly perfumed.

TikTok influencer @cleanwith_kayleigh, who has over two million followers on the social media platform, shared her top tips for using the disinfectant to clean some tricky areas of her home, in a video made as part of a paid partnership with Aldi that has racked up more than 70,000 views. "My home has never felt so clean and fresh," she said after using the product.

The clip showed how the disinfectant can be be used to clean between blinds, give your bin a fresh scent, make DIY wipes to rub down surfaces, effectively clean your toilet, and remove wall marks and scuffs. "Wow, amazing tips!" one person praised in the comments section.

"The blind hack is life changing," another fan remarked, while someone else who had also tried the disinfectant said: "I love the smell of it!"

"Aldi is the best budget option," a fourth person wrote. And someone else commented: "You've made me excited to clean my blinds!"
