Claudia Winkleman has hailed her iconic fringe for helping her to kick-start her life both on TV and in the bedroom - saying that she was a virgin before she chose the style.
Claudia, 50, is known almost worldwide these days for her hairdo thanks to being one half of the Strictly Come Dancing presenting duo alongside Tess Daly.
The Londoner is so famous for her fringe that she's currently touring her new show in venues across the UK - entitled Behind the Fringe, with live haircuts a promised part of the act.
But it wasn't always smooth sailing for her before she replaced Sir Bruce Forsyth in 2010.
On the first night of the tour in Guildford on Monday, she explained: "People ask, ‘Did you always have a fringe?’. And yes I did.
"People ask what I am hiding with my fringe — and it’s a massive forehead that is repellent.
"I was born with six extra teeth like a little dinosaur. When people saw me smile they screamed.
"But when I was 21 and a virgin, I got my fringe and everything started happening."
The presenter also told audiences how her fashion choices everyday take inspiration from a beauty queen.
Claudia said: “When you leave the house just think ‘What would Kate Moss do?’ If she would be happy then you can be happy.
“These are the things I want you to do. Great boots, thank you Kate, skinny jeans, again thank you Kate. An oversized coat, Kate knows what she is doing," she said.
"When you put it on and think ‘That is enough’ you have not even begun.
"I have always been addicted to fake tan. I like being orange, I think it is because I was born in 1972, I am an eighties kid so everything was like ultra glow."
Earlier this year, Claudia was confronted with a rare item from her past while on The One Show.
They had managed to find a snap of her without her fringe from her younger days!
"Is that actually me?" Claudia gasped.
"That's disgusting," she added. "Let's take it off."
The presenter was then asked if she would consider going blonde.
"I only work because of the hair," she said. "I can't change it."
