Claudia Winkleman 'rejected' an apology from Will Mellor on this weekend's Strictly Come Dancing resu7lt show, as the actor tried to say sorry for becoming emotional during Saturday night's live broadcast.
Early favourite to win the new series of the much loved BBC programme, Will and Strictly pro partner Nancy Xu, haven't landed in the bottom two yet, after viewers and judges were blown away by their jive to Ricky Martin's Livin La Vida Loca in week one. While their scores in some weeks haven't matched the highs of that first live show, they are still among the hot tips to win, although they have now dropped down in the odds.
Having not been near the top of the Strictly standings since their amazing jive, despite some good scores, Will and Nancy were aiming to get back up there at the weekend, with their waltz particularly meaningful for the couple as it was to The Commodores' Three Times A Lady, which just happened to be Will's late father's favourite song.

Coronation Street star and former Two Pints of Lager favourite Will had addressed that during the week, predicting that things could get very emotional on the dancefloor and, after managing to hold it together to complete the routine, Will looked visibly moved as the judges delivered their verdict, especially for the comments given by head judge Shirley Ballas.
Will then looked tearful as he and Nancy spoke to Claudia, saying he 'couldn't speak' after performing the tribute to his dad, before finding out they'd received a brilliant 38 out of 40 for their dance. There was more good news for them on the results show when they find out, much to their delight and relief, that they'd made it through to Blackpool.
Along with the other safe couples, Will and Nancy then joined Claudia for a debrief and it was during the chat that Will tried to apologise. As Claudia said: "You got your first 10s on Saturday night, it was an emotional night for you," Will interrupted to remark: "Yeah, sorry about that."
Stopping him in his tracks, Claudia replied: "No! Do not apologise!" before asking him and Nancy how delighted they were to make it to Blackpool.
