Claudia Winkleman has unexpectedly roped in Friends star Courteney Cox to help her promote the next series of The Traitors.
Without any explanation, the presenter and actress collaborated in a social media video appealing to people to apply for the show.
In the BBC One clip, Traitors host Winkleman is first seen standing next to a mysterious figure who is silent as they hide under one of the show’s famous cloaks.
Winlkleman then teases that The Traitors series two “is coming” and appeals for viewers to apply and instructs them how to.
It’s then that Cox pulls back her hood to reveal herself, asking: “Claudia, can I please do it?”

“I’ve said this to you before, it’s a no,” the host responded.
“You cannot apply if you are a celebrity, or if you’re as famous as this one,” she added.
Winkleman then burst into laughter after playfully shunning Cox out of camera view.
The lack of explanation about why Cox was involved, left the comment section under the BBC One post inundated with questions from confused but delighted fans.
“Hang on, is Courteney Cox a Traitors fan? Is she gonna appear at some point in the show? I need answers," one tweeted.
“Claudia and Courteney?! I was not expecting that one,” wrote another, while a third commented: “I can’t believe they got her for this."
What is not a mystery is that The Traitors will return to BBC One later this year, following the first series proving to be a huge hit in 2022.
“I can’t wait to go back to the castle to watch people play the greatest game on television,” Winkleman said previously. “I’m knitting a high funnel sweater immediately.”
Hopefuls can apply to become a contestant via the BBC Take Part website, with applications open until 31 July 2023.
