VISAKHAPATNAM: Andhra Pradesh education department will release the class X exam results on Saturday. Students can check their results on the official website of school education department — www.bse.ap.gov.in.
Instead of awarding grades to students, marks will be announced this time. In a recent order, the education department made it clear that institutions should not advertise the ranks of class X students in any medium. Violation of these norms would attract imprisonment as well as steep penalty, institutions have been warned.
About 6.22 lakh students attended the exams, conducted between April 27 and May 9, at nearly 3,800 examination centres spread across the state. The answer sheets were evaluated between May 13 and 22. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the education department could not conduct class X boards in 2020 and 2021. The students of the earlier two batches were promoted without any exams.
Contrary to the trend, a huge number of teachers were arrested for malpractices during class X examinations this year. About 60 teachers and staff were booked in these cases.
