Class A drugs worth £10,000 and cash seized from Ayrshire house

Police have seized £10,000 worth of Class A drugs and a bundle of cash worth £6,000.

Cops in possession of a warrant raided a house on Kilwinning's Almswall Road yesterday at 6.20am and recovered the cache of drugs and money.

Officers reckon the Class A drugs discovered have a street value of more than £10,000. Cash worth £6,000 was also seized.

Two men aged 18 and 27, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. They are due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court tomorrow.

Detective sergeant Andrea Templeton said: “This operation demonstrates our ongoing commitment to clearing our communities of drugs and the harm they cause in society.

"If you have any information about illegal activity in your area, please contact us in the assurance that we will act.”
