Violence erupted in the town of Beitunia in the occupied West Bank following the Israeli government's announcement of a delay in the release of 110 Palestinian prisoners as part of a ceasefire agreement. The town, located near Israel's Ofer Prison where the prisoners were to be released, witnessed confrontations between young Palestinians and Israeli security forces.
A group of Palestinian youths blocked the main road in Beitunia using garbage dumpsters and burning tires, while some individuals threw stones at Israeli security forces. In response, Israeli forces deployed stun grenades, tear gas canisters, rubber bullets, and live ammunition.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported treating 12 injured individuals in Beitunia, including those hit by live fire, rubber bullets, and tear gas exposure. Residents expressed disappointment over the delay in the prisoners' release, with one individual mentioning a friend who was set to be released.
The Israeli Prime Minister's Office later confirmed that the prisoners would be released on the same day. The Israeli government cited the need for assurances from Hamas following a separate incident involving the release of hostages in southern Gaza earlier that day.
