Clarkson's Farm season 2 potential release date and plot with Jeremy's new animals

The first season of Clarkson’s Farm dropped on Amazon Prime Video back in July 2021 and since then fans have been eagerly awaiting updates on its highly anticipated return.

Season one proved to be an unexpected smash hit for the streamer, with viewers loving Jeremy Clarkson ’s classic brutish approach to farming life.

It also provided the public with unique and necessary insights into the British farming industry, shining a light on the issues farmers faced during the Coronavirus lockdown and beyond.

Updates on the second season have been slowly trickling in, with Jeremy providing hints on his Instagram, giving clues at what may be happening in season 2.

The Grand Tour presenter has also just published his second farm book, Diddly Squat: ‘Till the Cows Come Home, following Clarkson’s life on the farm after the series.

It seems like the perfect prelude to season 2 and here is everything you need to know about Clarkson’s Farm’s return.

What is the potential release date of Clarkson’s Farm season 2?

Amazon Prime Video hasn’t provided an update on the exact release date of the second season, though an educated guess can be made.

Filming on season 2 began shortly after the first season of Clarkson’s Farm aired, with confirmation coming in July 2021.

Dan Grabiner, Amazon Studios’ head of UK Originals, said: "Clarkson's Farm is Jeremy's unfiltered love letter to farming.

“It is that authenticity, charm and humour, combined with the farm’s fantastic characters, which have made the series such a remarkable hit with audiences."

Clarkson, joined by his fan-favourite farmhand Kaleb Cooper, then released a short announcement video sharing their excitement for the season ahead.

Season 1 took viewers on a journey of a complete farming season, all 12 months, from summer to summer.

It means filming lasted a year for season 2, wrapping back in July 2022.

Now it is in the lengthy post-production process, which typically takes at least a few months to complete for any series.

It means the show will likely return in 2023, though fans should expect a release in the early months of the year, or spring at the latest.

Now that filming has wrapped, expect more updates from Amazon Prime soon.

Clarkson’s Farm season 1 followed the origins of Diddly Squat, from an empty field to a busy working farm.

It also showed how Jeremy battled with the coronavirus lockdown and how it impacted farming life.

Since the first season aired, Jeremy has been busy with a few new additions to the farm.

He has bought a herd of cattle, regularly sharing pictures and videos of his cute brown cows on social media.

Jeremy introduced fans to them with a picture of a little calf, captioning the image: “World. Meet Pepper.”

The presenter has also started brewing his own beer on the farm, Hawkstone Lager, which he showed off to fans earlier this year.
