Claire Sweeney has bagged her first acting role in over three years - and the much-loved actress is set to star alongside some of the biggest stars of Coronation Street.
The former Brookside actress, 51, teased an exciting upcoming project on Instagram as she shared a snap of herself and some other famous faces all sitting around a dinner table together.
The much-loved TV star had been busy filming in the Mediterranean for a new Channel 5 thriller The Good Ship Murder.
Claire lifted the lid on the exciting project as the cast and crew finished filming the production this week.
“Gonna miss the wonderful team. Such a happy job," she captioned the sweet snap.
Soap star Claire could be seen beaming alongside Corrie stars including Catherine Tyldsley and Shayne Ward, as she teased the upcoming project with fans.
Claire also treated her adoring followers to a number of behind-the-scenes clips of the mysterious farewell dinner as both Catherine and Shayne waved to the cameras while Claire filmed.
One clip saw the celebs clapping during the busy evening, with Claire captioning the story: 'Last night on board'.
Another clip saw Claire and the other cast members celebrate one of their birthday's.
Claire first found fame playing Lindsey Corkhill in Channel 4 ’s Brookside until the programme ended in 2003.
Since then she has appeared in TV shows such as Celebrity Big Brother, Strictly Come Dancing and was a regular panellist on Loose Women until 2005.
She has also featured in a number of West End shows and toured the UK with the hit musical, Hairspray.
The star made headlines back in August when she showcased her impressive weight loss in sultry snaps onboard a yacht.
The luxurious getaway came after Claire dropped half a stone before urging her fans to get rid of their 'inaccurate' scales.
“Ok so this is mental!!! 6lbs lost in just two days," Claire shared.
“Goes to show, don’t rely on the scales," she added.
