An RTE spokesperson told Irish Daily Mirror: “Claire is presenting remotely as she is isolating."

It comes two years after the presenter became one of the first high profile Covid cases in Ireland, when she first tested positive for the virus in March 2020.

Taking to her TV show in a self-isolation 'shed' at the time, the presenter admitted she felt guilty and shocked after testing positive, and told how she and worried about who she passed it on to.

The 46-year-old from Co. Laois described how she had been displaying symptoms of what she assumed was a head cold or chest infection and she said she had no temperature at any stage.

Claire, who is a mother of three, has since told how she has had lingering effects of long covid in the months after, including ‘brain fog’.
