Knowing three points will deliver a third straight premiership, Melbourne City will embrace a high-stakes A-League Men clash with the ambitious Central Coast Mariners.
City (48 points) face the third-placed Mariners (37), who can still catch second-placed Adelaide (41), determined to wrap up silverware with two games to go.
"They are a fantastic squad, third on the ladder at the moment," coach Rado Vidosic said.
"They've got all their players back, they've been very successful last week, they thrashed Western United 3-0. We had a good look at that game. They were excellent. (Gosford is) a hostile environment.
"The good thing is that, for us, we just continue to play the way that we would like to play. They are the ones that are chasing it.
"They need to come out firing so there may be a little bit more space behind them or between the lines."
Vidosic planned to draw on December's 1-0 win at AAMI Park.
"When we played them the first time around it was one of my first games," he said.
"We controlled the first half and then they were excellent in the second half.
"They've shown that they can play against us, they've shown that they can hurt us.
"We kept a clean sheet that game, we won 1-0, and we're going to hope that we can get a similar result this time around."
Meanwhile young gun Jordan Bos has been linked to a transfer to City's parent club Manchester City.
That would likely involve a loan move elsewhere, like Daniel Arzani's time at the powerhouse club.
Vidosic said he didn't know whether Bos was on the move at season's end, or if loan restrictions would affect any move, but backed the "shining light" of City's campaign to block out the focus on his future.
"If that is a possibility that would be fantastic but if that is not a possibility then I'm quite sure that the City Football Group will look after him," he said.
"He's a great player and soon he's going to be in one of our clubs."
